Our story

Giorgio and Helena spent many summers in Rocca Ripesena, in their family home.
A quiet village, warm stone at sunset, time seeming to slow down.
That bond with this land was never broken.
In 2010, Giorgio decided to return.
He purchased several ancient homes in the village, with the idea of bringing life back to  laces rich in history, without ever stripping them of their soul.
This is how Misia took shape: a discreet albergo diffuso, born from respect for the village and a genuine desire to welcome.
The name is a tribute to Giorgio and Helena’s great-grandmother.
Nonna Misia was the heart of the family: in her home, everyone was welcome, the table was always set, and laughter was never missing.
That way of welcoming — simple, spontaneous, sincere — has endured over time.
Today, Misia is that feeling translated into a place.
Fourteen rooms created from ancient stone houses, carefully restored and personally furnished by Giorgio and Helena.
An intimate retreat in the village of Rocca Ripesena, just a few kilometres from Orvieto.
The soul of Misia is immediately felt: in the warmth of the welcome, in homemade breakfasts, in conversations by the fireplace with a glass of wine.
Giorgio and Helena welcome each guest as they would a lifelong friend.
Misia is not just a place to sleep.
It is a way of being.
